What is the WA DUI CEnter?
The Washington DUI Center is a free on-line library and clearing house for the hard-working members of the DUI defense community and their clients.
The aim of this research center is to ensure that attorneys across the state have access to the latest developments in DUI law, including the rapidly changing case law, statutes and defense theories that are the foundation of a quality defense.
The center was founded by two Seattle defense attorneys, Kevin Trombold and Peter Peaquin, who share the experience of beginning their careers as public defenders. Both worked at non-profit firms contracting with city and county government to provide indigent criminal defendants with the strongest possible defense – agencies which believed strongly that sharing information with fellow attorneys was the best guarantee of justice for those accused of wrong-doing.
DUI law is extraordinarily complex, and attorneys must defend their clients against stiffer penalties than accompany many felony convictions.
